{ Ten }
{ Ten } things I am grateful for
:: Family. The family I was born into, the family I married into and the beautiful new family we have begun to create.
:: A Husband who works so hard for his family. Working hard to provide now and working oh so hard to provide a better future.
:: Lydia. My dear sweet girl! So very much worth the wait!
:: Faith. Faith in God and the goodness of others.
:: Friends. Childhood friendships that last through the years. Sisters that are some of my very dearest friends. Friends along the way that help my laugh and grow. And friends I have yet to meet.
:: Talents. Talents of others that bless my life. Talents within me both known and undiscovered. Talents I get to watch blossom in my sweet girl.
:: My dogs. Those big sweet pups that make me crazy, protect their family and warm my heart.
:: Food. Nourishing whole foods that I learning about and developing a healthy relationship with.
:: Music enriches my life and feeds the soul.
:: H O M E.

Done!
Finally done! I started this project back in the spring before Lydia was born (for the second time, I wasn't happy with the results of my first attempt.) I mostly followed a free pattern from The Purl Bee using yarn from my small stash. As a beginning knitter this was a great learning project for increasing and decreasing.

Weekend finds
For a long time I have been in love with play kitchens like this, but not so in love with the accompanying price tag. So, imagine my delight at spotting this little treasure for only $8!!! Not quite as fancy and needs a little work but oh so exciting. I've got time to spruce it up as Lydia's head is about level with the counter at the moment.
And this lovely folding chalkboard. I foresee it being useful for homeschooling down the road or just for fun. Now for some Chalk to start practicing chalkboard drawings.
A sweater to felt and repurpose. A puppy book for a certain adorable niece and her two Brittany puppies. And this funny little hand held percussion instrument. I'm sure you all remember from elementary school music class.

Ah, the joys of thrifting!
